For ranged DPS and tanks these are going to be your primary targets throughout phase two.

You do not want more than 1 of these up at any time. Looking at their abilities will explain why.

Diminish Power - Weakens enemy units in a large area around the caster, reducing the damage they do by 20%.

This spell is channeled, and can be interrupted. The biggest issue with this is that if you have more than one Crusher alive, their channels of Diminish Power will stack, making your job harder and harder as you progress.

Focused Anger - Enrages the caster when focused by attacks and spells, increasing damage and attack speed.

This buff stacks to 99 and increases damage and attack speed by 3% with each stack. It only has a 1 second duration, after which all stacks will fade from the target unless it is refreshed within the second.

As you can see, two very powerful abilities that both need to be managed.

  • You should have a tank on the Crusher, disrupting Diminish Power as often as possible.
  • Ranged DPS should nuke the Crusher REALLY hard.
  • Find the limit of Focused Anger stacks that you cannot comfortably heal the tank through.
  • When you reach this limit, stop all attacks on the target.
  • When the buff has faded, resume tanking and nuking.

It will take a little while to really get the feel for this but once you get a rhythm going they should not be too hard.

Gj Kr, basically all of this are useful facts, I'd just like to add some things (shamelessly stolen from Elitist Jerks, as usually Smile).

"There's little risk to it if the Crusher is not being attacked at the same time, they don't start hitting hard enough to be a serious threat to your tanks until the focused rage buff stacks into the 30ish range.

Under 30 stacks, just make a tank run in and interrupt. Over 30 stacks either use a pet if you're running behind on dps a lot, or a tank with a CD, or a holy pala with bubble, or make the stacks reset by swapping dps to something else for a second or two.

In general though, if you're going with 4 keepers, they shouldn't pose an issue. Just interrupt them at start a few times, once the first portals spawned you won't have to deal with any over 20 seconds normally.

Basic aspect of p2 is making sure you get the tentacles inside down 20 seconds after the portals spawn. (if the brain is not stunned at that point, another crusher spawns)

All of phase 2 basically comes down to the portal group doing their job quick and efficient. The longer you fight a stunned boss the easier everything becomes. It's important to realize that the DPS requirements to get a 40-43 second stun are really really low; it's all about moving efficient and splitting up DPS on the tentacles."

Also, since I think p1 will actually be the hardest for us, here's an idea:

"Something the 10man group I run with has taken a liking to is stacking the entire raid on sara in P1. We are traditionally melee heavy, and I currently cannot see the clouds in their correct locations (apparently a known bug) so this came from trying to make avoiding the clouds fool proof.

As soon as we tried it we are getting to P2 flawlessly every time. It makes it a lot easier to get all the interrupts, especially with minimal ranged interrupts, and puts the dps time closer to 90%, up from what I would say was 20% when we tried avoiding clouds - for melee at least, which speeds up the phase considerably.

Our healers were holy priest and resto shammy, and seemed to have no problems keeping the raid up as long as dps was mindful to only kill adds when everyone was topped up. Rogues feint, and warriors def stance etc helps minimize the aoe damage taken also, particularly if you are taking double damage.

Im not sure if the damage would scale too much for this to work on heroic, its a fool proof way to avoid clouds and maximize dps time if your healers can keep up though.

Explosion + volley will kill almost anyone in phase 1, so that stacking strat would require absolutely perfect interrupts."
